Problems during sleep can be caused by numerous factors; causes may be different but at the end, all sleep disorders disturb the body's natural sleep cycles and the daytime alertness is disrupted or offset. Few factors that can cause sleep problems are Physical (body pain), Psychiatric (stress, anxiety and depression), Medical (sinuosity, asthma, etc.) and Environmental disorders (late night social activities).
  • Insomnia can be triggered by stresses (such as loss or change of a daily routine), health problems, unhealthy lifestyle or habits.
  • Chronic insomnia (occurs at least three nights a week or longer) can be triggered in depression, stress, and night pains.
  • Age, Medications, night shifts and constant shifts rotation at work can also be factors that can disrupt your sleep cycles.
